Would you consider having paying guests? ~ Maige

We are open to most guests. We do need to be careful about "earning money" as we are on a retirement visa which has strict limits on working in the country. We aren't totally sure how a paid guest would be treated in this regard. But one thing we have been considering is to allow visitors that are looking for the "remote island" experience so they can see if it is really a life they would enjoy. We didn't have that so we jumped blindly, assuming we would love it. Good thing we assumed correctly. But some people think they want to live remote but then find out it is not for them. So we think offering that "preview" experience could be valuable. We aren't 100% sure what having guests would be like for us so at this point, it is all "play it by ear".
