We fixed a cayuco!

We purchased this cheap for decoration. But we thought maybe we could just patch it up and take it for a spin. There were long cracks on both ends which is common for these dugout canoes. We were able to close those cracks most of the way and bind them with blocks of wood on the inside. Then filled the remaining cracks with expanding foam and silicone. These are the boats the locals often use to get around. They probably think a gringo in a cayuco is a sight to see. But we are having fun.
