Yes, we have scorpions...
We have seen scorpions several times. The first time was during our first over night visit to the property back in 2019. Back then we were sleeping in hammocks in our small 12x8 shed down by the dock. The darn thing was up on the wall one morning.
After moving into our home in 2024, Tina got stung by one in the house. Then I spotted one crossing the floor in our house! Both of these encounters came before our doors were installed. We suspect they just wandered in to investigate the area and Tina was an unlucky target. While moving sand bags down by the dock, I was also stung once when I reached under the bag while not wearing gloves. I think I may have set the bag on the scorpion making it mad in the first place.
It's been a while since we have seen the last scorpion, but we keep our eyes open all the time now.
