We recycle what we can

I'm sure we can do better, but we recycle what we can. In this video you can see a can crusher we made out of scrap wood and a left over hinge. This makes the cans we recycle take up a lot less space. We have a lot of scrap wood sitting around from various projects and we seem to use a little here and there on a regular basis.

Another thing that was made out of recycled wood is this bench. It is down by the shed so we can take a break or stack groceries on rainy days as we dash from the boat but before we go up the stairs. This used to be part of our temporary kitchen cabinets. Simply three 2x4s screwed together, sanded and coated with sealer.

This cup holder is made from a scrap piece of 1x6 for the base, a bit of 2x2 for the post and some dowels to hold the cups. Sweet, simple and useful.

This TP holder is a 2x6 base, a 4x4 post and a bit of PVC. All made from scraps.

We keep finding more little ways to take our scraps and turn them into useful items.
