Building the bodega
Under the main house we will have a storage area called the bodega.
This room is approximately 20 feet by 20 feet in size. This is where we will put our washer, dryer, freezer, pantry supplies and various other items.
The first part of the build is to put the walls in place with cinder blocks. They don't go all the way to the roof as that will be screened in later for ventilation and the steel door will be added later as well. Tina and I will skim coat the outside to make it look nice. But those additions will happen once there is a floor for the main portion of the house. No reason to add these items now and expose them to the weather.
We will update this page in a couple months when the bodega gets completed with the door, screening and starts getting filled with our stuff. Check back in July.
