Casa de Tortugas - Stories

We found our pineapple thief!

We were trying to figure out what kept happening to our pineapples, now we know.

A little guy called a coati has been coming and eating them. There must be a number of these little guys because I can't imagine one eating as many pineapples as we have seen vanish over the past few days. As the wild life gets use to us being around, they are becoming more brave about entering our space to snack on anything we have to offer.

This guy is so cute. We don't mind losing a pineapple here and there, but we do want to have a few for ourselves. So in the near future I will be making a cage out of rebar and screening so we can jam it into the ground over any of the pineapple plants we want to protect. For now, these guys are going to feast.

View some of the other animals we have seen.
