We built a bed frame

The original plan was to have someone build a bed frame for us, but after completing various other building projects we are feeling more comfortable and decided we would build our own!

We used wood that we had left over from other projects. It only took a couple hours to sand and cut all the wood. We haven't stained the wood yet. We may do that in the future but it wasn't a concern for us at this point. Up until now we have just had our mattress on the ground. It sure is nice to be up at a proper height.

We may be building our own cabinets in the near future. We love looking around the house and seeing a life we've built with our own hands.
